Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Limited Capacity seats available

Participants will learn how to implement a framework for students to engage in meaningful and authentic literacy strategies in order to explore the theme topics of fear and courage throughout history and in literature. Steps to connect learning and research through creating a multi-genre project will be shared. Multi-genre projects encourage creativity, wide experiences in various genres and formats, utilize digital tools, allow for student voice and choice, showcase research skills in a unique way, and provide differentiated opportunities. Meeting gifted learners' needs will also be addressed.

The gifted education professional development competencies that will be addressed in this session are:
(a) The ability to differentiate instruction based on a student’s readiness, knowledge and skill level, including using accelerated content, complexity, depth, challenge, creativity and abstractness;
(b) The ability to select, adapt, or create a variety of differentiated curricula that incorporate advanced, conceptually challenging, in-depth, distinctive and complex content
